React Native Developer

Own mobile features end-to-end for Kodex client projects. You’ll ship production React Native apps with Expo, integrate Firebase services, and collaborate with our delivery team on architecture, performance, and release quality.

We're looking for a skilled React Native developer to join our team and help build high-quality mobile applications for our clients. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and project leads on challenging builds that require clean architecture, performance optimization, and seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo
  • Integrate with Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Push Notifications)
  • Write clean, typed TypeScript code with proper error handling
  • Collaborate with design and backend teams to implement features
  • Optimize app performance, bundle size, and startup time
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of professional experience with React Native
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with Expo (managed and/or bare workflow)
  • Experience integrating Firebase services (Auth, Firestore, Functions)
  • Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVVM, Redux, Context API)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (EAS Build, Fastlane)
  • Experience with app store deployment processes (iOS App Store, Google Play)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote-first environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development
  • Knowledge of push notification services and deep linking
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Detox, Maestro)
  • Experience with real-time features and WebSockets
  • Contributions to open-source projects
